Defragged

"I am a 56 year old wife of 22 years and mother of a 19 year old daughter and a 16 year old son. Weight has always been an issue with me...I am 5 feet tall...half Italian...the bottom half! Hips and thighs with a pear shape my whole life. When I entered good old menopause in my 40s, the weight started to increase. I was my lowest weight after my son was born...120, but it didn't last long. Hit 160 at 51 joined a gym and got a personal trainer. Dropped 25 pounds, but didn't follow his instructions away from the gym. So despite the fact that I worked out 3 days a week, my weight ballooned up to 176. No weight loss plan would work for me, and I tried most of them! That was when I stopped going places unless I had to; hated looking at the stranger in the mirror.

Then I read about Medifast and just the fact that everything was planned out and the portion control was taken away from me, I thought, I can do this. So I did and it has been a Godsend. I went through the picky stage of figuring out what I liked and didn't, but I started losing immediately. My trainer was not keen on pre-packaged food plans, but he has become a fan since my success. Throughout the party season, I have stayed on plan and really don't see myself going off completely, even when I do reach goal. I like the food, love the shakes and all the recipes add variety (and bread!!) to my meals. I love Medifast and would highly recommend it to people that have difficulty losing weight.
