Expected Weight Loss: Medifast Diet
My expected weight loss on the Medifast Diet for the first week was well surpassed. I'm pleased and anticipate the weigh in next Monday.
Since I began my Medifast Diet on October 9, 2006 and through today, October 16, 2006 my weight loss has been 6.5 pounds. I did everything as described in the Medifast Start Guide with the exception I may not have eaten enough green vegetables the first few days. And two of those days, I simply could not fit in all 6 meals in one day. So I only ate 5 Medifast meals for those two days.
My biggest challenge thus far is trying to fit all the meals into my day and spacing them appropriately apart - every 2 to 3 hours. I work from home and love what I do, so when I'm working I'm intense and focused. Time passes me by very quickly and before I know it, 4 hours have passed and I have missed one of my Medifast meals.
My goal this week is to come up with a plan that works for my schedule that will remind me to eat a Medifast meal every 2 to 3 hours every day.
Drinking the 8 glasses of water isn't difficult because I have always drank plenty of water. In fact many days I drink more than 8 glasses.
Is the Medifast Diet Worth It?
Some have asked whether I thought the Medifast Diet is worth the money, and my answer is a definite Yes. BUT only if you intend to follow the plan exactly until you wrap your brain around how it works, how your body reacts to it, and don't let other people influence you to deviate from the plan.
Even people with good intentions who tell you how great tasting a Medifast meal recipe that they have cooked up but which is not approved by Medifast can cause your body to deviate from the diet system.
Stick to the plan in the beginning and the weight will come off. The great thing about Medifast is that there are Medifast Nutrionists you can call on the phone or correspond with through the MyMedifast message board just for Medifast dieters. They can tell you whether a food or ingredient in a recipe is appropriate for the Medifast Diet system you are on and based on the length of time you have been on the diet.
