Getting Comfortable in My New Skin
I've lost over 75 pounds, and just recently noticed that I'm quite comfortable in my new skin. I'm so comfortable that the memory of how uncomfortable I was is starting to fade a little. This is a memory that I prefer to never forget. Why?
I want to use this memory as a reminder to myself why losing more than 75 pounds was important. Obviously I look much better but the ultimate reward is feeling great and improved health.
I remembered reading about how actors and actresses who play a role which requires them to be much heavier in weight often wear weighted clothing with lots of extra padding. I was wondering what it would feel like to put on a 75 pound wardrobe and try to walk around in it for about 10 minutes.
Then today I received an email from a client who has a personal trainer. Jill is down a total of 30 pounds and her trainer had her walk around the gym today carrying 30 pounds of weight. She had difficulty doing it and it was an eye opening experience as to how much pressure her body structure was under due to the excess weight she has now lost. Congrats to Jill on a job well done and kudos to her personal trainer for giving her this experience. It's an experience I'm sure she'll never forget.
