Medifast Appetite Suppressant Shakes
Medifast Question ... "Years ago I did Medifast through a clinic, and it seems to me that the shakes were a lot stronger as an appetite suppressant than they are now. The diet then consisted of just shakes - not other foods. Although I am losing weight on the Medifast Diet, I am just wandering why it does not suppress the appetite as much?" ~ Deloris
Answer ... "Hi Deloris. I am not familiar with the old Medifast Diet version. I'd suggest contacting Medifast Nutritional Support on the My Medifast message board. If I were to guess, I'd say that there are several answers to your question. It is possible that Medifast changed their shake formula and that your body changed as well. As we get older, things that used to satisfy us, no longer do, unfortunately.
But did you know that Medifast has several types of shakes and each have different amounts of protein? The Medifast Diet also offers an Appetite Suppressant Shake called Medifast Plus, which contains the ingredient CitriMax® that was designed to curb appetite while maintaining consistent weight loss.
I have not tried the Medifast Plus Shakes, as I'm not experiencing hunger very often. But it will certainly be on my Medifast shopping list when I reach a weight loss plateau.
It is said that the higher the amount of protein in the shakes, the less likely you'll experience hunger. I was drinking Medifast 55 shakes, but switched to the diabetic shakes for two reasons. The Medifast diabetic shakes contains more protein but most of all they less sweet. Since I often add sugar free syrups to my shakes to change the flavor, it gives me more control over how much sweetness are in my shakes.
Again, I'd encourage you to contact Medifast Nutrition Support through the official Medifast message board within your account. They are very helpful and speedy on their responses. I wish you much success with your Medifast weight loss goal.
