Medifast Diet: Perfect for Busy People

If you have read my Medifast Blog then you know I lost 6.5 pounds on the Medifast Diet plan in the first week. You also know that I work from home and put in some long days - sometimes up to 12 or 13 hours. Multi-tasking is a major activity in my day and there isn't much time or brain capacity for me to have to think ahead about what I'm going to eat for every meal in a day, plan a shopping list, plan my daily meals, write down each food I ate in a food journal, determine the calories I ate, how many carbs or protein I ate, how much more I need to eat so that I don't surpass a specific amount of caloric intake, record my exercise routines, determine how many calories I burned during my exercise routine, etc.

Thanks to Medifast all of those time consuming decisions are made for me and those tedious math tasks are as automated as possible without someone spoon feeding throughout the day. Math wasn't one of my strongest points and quite frankly, if I'm not interested in a topic, it usually gets pushed to the back burner. I don't think I'm alone in this thought process.

Due to some recent health issues, I am being forced by my body to do something about my excess weight to help alleviate or eliminate some severe pain I've been experiencing. This severe pain is interfering with my health, quality of life and my time. Doctors will tell you that symptoms or pain is your body trying to get your attention; that is true and it is time to take notice.


Time is Money, Money is Time

We have all heard the popular saying "Time is Money" which simply means that the time you spend doing whatever it is you do during your day costs money. This generally is thought to pertain to only businesses but that's not true.

Everyone in the world has been given 24 hours every day to spend however they wish. No one gets anymore. No one gets special treatment or additional time for good behavior. We are all equally given the same amount of time. The decision for each of us is how well we use the time that we are given.

Many people believe that their time isn't valuable so they dismiss the thought. But everyone's life is valuable. And if you value your life, you should value your time. Since you cannot get more time you need to do one of two things:

  1. Reorganize the time you have so that you are doing more things that you want to do in the 24 hours you are given.
  2. Pay money to someone else who will be taking time from their 24 hours to do something for you. This in effect adds more time to your day and is the only way to grab more time; hence, what I call: "Money is Time".

I pay Medifast to make those decisions, organize my meal plans, calculate those figures that I don't want to spend my time doing. Yes, the Medifast Diet may seem a little expensive to some folks but if you put a price tag on a minute of your time you'll soon discover that the price of the Medifast Diet is actually low.

For every one minute I spend doing anything I don't like doing, that is one minute I will never get back - ever. If you think about it from that perspective, then one minute of your time is priceless.
