Medifast Diet Weigh in Tomorrow

I am very excited about my Medifast Diet weigh in tomorrow. I cannot remember when the last time I felt so excited about weighing myself. I've been on all kinds of diets in the last 25 years but this one is even easier than the Dr. Atkins diet I did for nearly 5 years and lost very little weight. In just the first two days of being on Medifast I dropped 5 pounds. Seriously. If it was water loss, so what. Weight loss is weight loss to me and I feel great.

Tomorrow's weigh in will be the ultimate moment for me. I hope I am not disappointed so I'm trying not to think or care about how much I'd like the scale to show that I've lost. Check back at this blog tomorrow before noon eastern and you'll find out too.

Generally I work more than 10 hours on Saturdays. (I work online from my home.) But yesterday I spent a great deal of time surfing the MyMedifast website and community message board looking for before and after photos of people who had lost weight on the Medifast Diet. It was so uplifting to see the transformations.

Then I decided to motivate myself even more and I surfed on over to some of my favorite clothing websites. I'm talking about name brand clothing and fashion styles that I haven't been able to wear in 10 years.

I took a risky plunge! No, I didn't order anything ... but I did add some of my favorite blouses, slacks, jeans, skirts and other apparel that is in style today into my wishlist. And I added what I thought would be the size I might be wearing in early December 2006, when I will need to go clothes shopping for an up and coming vacation / business trip to Las Vegas in late January 2007. We'll see if those sizes are accurate, and if what I picked out is still available. If not, it was still fun and very motivating.

My Medifast Diet Motivations

There is something exhilerating about window shopping (Windows shopping ... pun intended) for clothing styles that you hope you can wear again someday and knowing that you are on the road to making that happen. I have nothing fashionable that fits anymore and most of my everyday wear consists of men's t-shirts, drawstring shorts (even in the winter), one pair of old Just My Size stretch jeans when I go out in public, and a handful of casual knit tops if I have to attend an event. I don't go shopping for clothing; in fact I hate it. There is very little in apparel selection that doesn't cost an entire week's salary for a gal of my size. I work at home anyway and the dogs and cats don't care what I wear.

So from this day forward I will continue to search and come up with ideas to motivate forward and I'll post them on this blog when I discover them and know first hand that they work.

Back 'atcha tomorrow!
