New Weighing Strategy
I know that many Medifast dieters weigh themselves every day. Medifast recommends only once a week. But I have been secretly experimenting with a new weighing strategy for myself for a couple of weeks and it's working out very well for me.
My official weigh in day is Monday morning. But now I'm weighing myself every Thursday morning too. This gives me a 3-day snapshot of how well I'm doing with Medifast so far and then I have 4 more days that week to make any adjustments I need to ensure that I achieve my 3 pound weight loss per week target.
Adjustments might include drinking more water, increasing the amount of daily walking time, increasing my daily household activities so my days are more active, discontinue eating Medifast bars, eliminating Medifast snacks including that addictive peanut butter I love so much in my shakes and puddings, drinking more Medifast shakes, etc. Of course the adjustments I make depends on how close I am to that 3 pound per week goal.
So far it doesn't feel like a drag, and I'm much more mindful of how my week is going. Works for me!
