Organizing My Medifast Food Packets
Some kind soul over on the Medifast forum posted an idea on how to organize the many Medifast Diet food packets for quick retrieval and then easily inventory them when we need to reorder. She suggested an over the door shoe organizer with clear pouches for the inside of a pantry door.
I don't have a pantry door so I used this shoe organizer (from Walmart) on the back of my foyer's closet door. I have to walk passed this door on my way to the kitchen from my home office. So it was easy to re-train myself to stop and pick up whatever Medfast food that was on my plan for that meal time.
Here's a photo so you can see how easy it is get organized. All of the those Medifast Diet boxes were taking up too much kitchen cabinet space, and driving me crazy trying to see how many packets were left in each box.
I cut off the box tops and put them in the front of the pockets, so I could quickly see the meals in the pouch.
I also cut the mixing instructions off the boxes and keep them in alphabetical order in the kitchen. This step could be eliminated if Medifast printed the instructions on each envelope. {hint, hint}
It's not rocket science but it sure makes things easier!
