Realistic Weight Loss Goal Setting
Realistic goal setting can play an important part in your overall success. By setting attainable goals, you set yourself up for success rather than failure.
Start setting realistic mini goals now during the weight loss phase and thinking ahead to what kind of maintenance goals you want for yourself.
An example of an unrealistic goal might be that if you don't lose 20 pounds in 3 weeks, you'll quit the program. This kind of goal would be setting yourself up for failure before you even began. A better goal would be that you will do your best to lose as much weight as possible in the first two months of the program by following the plan as outlined in the Quick Start Guide exactly without modifications.
The goals you set during the maintenance phase of the program can play a major role too. If you set goals such as "I will never eat a dessert again." you increase your chances of not meeting the goal.
